Child dead in Jackson County fire

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. — A nine-year-old child died in a fire in Jackson County, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The deadly blaze was reported along Evansview Road in Evans late Monday afternoon. No details regarding the cause of the fire have been released at this time. An investigation is underway.
