Woman arrested for second time this week for breaking into vehicles

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Charleston woman was arrested for the second time this week Thursday for allegedly trying to break into two vehicles.

Melinda Nelson was arrested by Charleston police on Wednesday for breaking into cars, including a state vehicle.

Nelson is accused of breaking into cars on Stadium Place and Huron Terrace.

She identified herself as Sandra Browning, Nelson’s sister. The real Sandra Browning informed police Wednesday about Nelson’s real identity.

Nelson is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail.
