CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Charleston man is in custody for allegedly stabbing a woman Saturday night on the city’s West Side.
Charleston Police say James Kenneth White, 55 stabbed a woman several times just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday night in an apartment along the 800 block of Central Avenue.
White is being charged with malicious wounding.
Authorities have not released a motive or the relation between the victim and suspect.
Police said the victim, who has not been identified, is in critical condition at a local hospital.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A woman was injured after being stabbed in Charleston Saturday night.
It happened on Central Avenue on the city’s West Side at around 10:15 p.m.
Police said the victim was in critical condition.
There was no immediate word about a possible suspect.
