Two people arrested after attempting break-in

CLENDENIN, W.Va. — Two people were charged Tuesday after attempting to break into a storage building in Kanawha County.

Dusty Jones, 30, of Cabin Creek, and Kayla Gibson, 25, of Charleston tried to break into the building on Spencer Road. The victim’s family saw an unfamiliar truck, and a family member found Jones and Gibson.

The family member held the two at gunpoint until officers arrived. Authorities recovered several items belonging to the victim.

Jones faces charges of breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods, while Gibson faces charges on previous warrants.
