CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A truck overturned Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of MacCorkle Avenue and U.S. Route 119, spilling gravel across the road.
According to the Charleston Police Department, the driver said his brakes went out while driving toward the intersection. As the driver turned right, the weight shifted in its rear, causing the vehicle to lose control.
The driver and passenger were not injured.
Lanes were reopened shortly after 7 p.m.
