Three North Carolina bondsmen arrested in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Three North Carolina bondsmen were arrested in Charleston Thursday after trying to apprehend an alleged fugitive without proof, police said.

According to police, the three men, Terrence Lamont Holloway, Marion Reddick and Michael Foust, held Joseph Gibbons up with a shotgun, tied him up and tried to stuff him in a car.

Holloway was charged with battery, reckless driving, unlawful restraint, prohibited conduct and registration of a bail bonds enforcement.

Reddick was charged brandishing deadly weapons, battery, unlawful restraint and registration of a bail bonds enforcement.

Foust was charged with brandishing deadly weapons, battery, destruction of property, prohibited conduct and registration of bail bonds enforcers.

Police said all three failed to register with West Virginia State Police to work as a bail bondsman in West Virginia, and lacked proof that Gibbons was a wanted man.

The three were being held in South Central Regional Jail on $25,000 cash-only bond.
