Temporary traffic light installed at intersection of US 60 and WV 34

HURRICANE, W.Va. — After traffic caused issues at the intersection of US 60 and WV 34 in Putnam County, a temporary traffic signal was installed by the West Virginia Division of Highways Thursday night.

The light will relieve the congestion that has been associated with ongoing construction projects on I-64. It will help vehicles enter US 60 more safely and provide gaps for traffic coming onto the road and other intersections nearby.

The traffic signal will remain until the first phase of the Milton to US 35 Interstate Reconstruction project is finished.
