Tad woman charged with reporting false emergencies

TAD, W.Va. — A Kanawha County woman was arraigned Friday after she allegedly made 600 calls to Kanawha County’s Metro 911 Center over a 26-day period.

State police charged Kassandra Fridley, 28, of Tad, with falsely reporting an emergency.

The fake calls included reports of shootings, burglaries, fires and various other incidents, according to a criminal complaint. Many times Kanawha County first responders were dispatched to the areas only to find nothing there.

Fridley was being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $500 bail.
