Suspect in Putnam County chase still on run

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. — Putnam County authorities are still looking for the suspect involved in a police pursuit earlier in the week.

Eric Benjamin Bolton, 40, allegedly led police on a high-speed chase Tuesday, in which his vehicle reached more than 130 miles per hour before the car wrecked in Mason County.

Bolton is wanted on a federal probation violation. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search Tuesday of Bolton’s Teays Valley home. Authorities seized $132,000, 9,000 oxycodone pills, illegal drugs and firearms.
