Sheriff’s department releases click it or ticket campaign results

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department released the results of a two-week Click-it or Ticket campaign Tuesday.

Police say 366 traffic stops were made during the period resulting in 311 citations for failure to wear a seatbelt. The Governor’s Highway Safety Program, which funded the event,
encouraged all motorists to wear their seatbelts because they “save lives.”

Three people were also arrested for driving on a revoked license for a DUI, and 19 were charged while driving with a suspended operator’s license.
