Sentencing expected Friday morning in Capital High rape case

CHARLESTON, W.Va–A Friday morning hearing is expected to result in the sentencing of a 17-year-old man accused of raping a Capital High School classmate.

The man, Dallas King, recently plead guilty as an adult to a charge of first-degree sexual assault. The January incident was caught on a school surveillance camera. An agreement stipulates that prosecutors will remain silent at the sentencing, and that the sentence will be revisited on King’s 18th birthday.

The sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. in front of Kanawha County Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey.
