Putnam County Planning Commission approves zoning change amendment

WINFIELD, W.Va. — Following a tie-breaking vote, the Putnam County Planning Commission voted Tuesday in favor of making zoning changes in Teays Valley.

Commission president John Dill broke the 6-6 tie, approving an amendment to end special use permits for restaurants that serve alcohol as well as fast food places.

Currently, any business larger than 5,000 square feet or serves alcohol much receive such permit.

The Putnam County Commission will discuss the matter at its Thursday meeting.
