PrimeLending welcomed back to Charleston with open arms

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A true mortgage lender is making its return to Kanawha County.

PrimeLending, which had a location in downtown Charleston in 2017, held a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday morning to mark the opening of its east end location on Kanawha Blvd.

“We were downtown previously at a high rise and it was not conducive to customer traffic,” David Houser, West Virginia Market Manager at PrimeLending said.

“This location was much more central, easier for customers to get in and out of, and keeps us in the downtown market.”

PrimeLending, which was established 30 years ago, focuses on residential mortgage loans, specializing in VA, FHA, USDA loans and offers discounted services for first responders and waives all lender fees for veterans.

“All these entities under one roof promoting homeownership throughout the state of West Virginia for the citizens of West Virginia,” Houser said.

PrimeLending has 11 locations in West Virginia including a production office and processing hub in Teays Valley. Houser said the company continues to look to expand in the state where they are needed.
