DUNBAR, W.Va. — An accident that clipped a power pole on the Dunbar Toll Bridge Tuesday closed the bridge and a section of MacCorkle Avenue for about six hours Tuesday.
The accident also caused power outages in the Spring Hill community and part of MacCorkle Avenue.
The bridge and MacCorkle Avenue reopened Tuesday evening, and power was restored around 9 p.m.
Emergency crews said the driver was headed westbound when he lost control and hit the telephone pole. There was no word on what caused the accident.
