Lt. Steve Cooper, chief of detectives with the Charleston Police Department, said no arrests have been made at this point.

“We have a good lead in that case. We’re still working on it. We’re working with a couple of agencies as well, but no charges have been filed yet,” he reported on Wednesday’s “580 Live” heard on 580-WCHS.

Police have also been speaking to people who knew Myers.

“We’ve been in communication with the victim’s family quite a bit. We’re hopeful that we can bring that to a resolution hopefully soon,” Cooper said.

Cooper previously said Myers was well-known to police.
