Nitro man pleads guilty to selling meth

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Nitro man entered a guilty plea Tuesday for selling methamphetamine, according to U.S. Attorney Carol Casto.

John Parrish Jr. admitted to selling the drug in August 2016 to a confidential informant. The deal happened at a gas station on Goff Mountain Road in Cross Lanes.

Laboratory results from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration determined the methamphetamine was 95 percent pure.

Parrish could spend up to 20 years in federal prison. He will be sentenced on Aug. 23.
