New Winfield police chief to begin job Monday

WINFIELD, W.Va. — The City of Winfield will have a new police chief on Monday.

Mayor Randy Barrett says that Bobby Eggleton will start the new position next week. Eggleton recently retired from the Charleston Police Department, where he worked as a detective.

He replaces John Perrine who resigned a few weeks ago, according to Barrett.

Eggleton will meet with Winfield Neighbors at City Hall on Thursday night to introduce himself to the public and answer questions.
