Murder defendant agrees to plea deal

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County woman pleaded guilty Monday for her role in a double murder.

Misty Rucker, 38, admitted to being an accessory after the fact in the February murders of Timothy Jett, 55, and Audrey Short, 38, at Jett’s home on Garrison Avenue in Charleston. Jett died at his home, and Short died days later at Charleston Area Medical Center,

Rucker said her boyfriend, Bobby Hall, shot Jett and Short and she threw the gun out the car window on Garrison Avenue. The pair was arrested in Clay County.

Rucker faces up five years in prison at her December 6 sentencing.
