CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A man accused of robbing an elderly woman with a knife outside a Kanawha City department store has pleaded guilty.
Clifton Martin, of Charleston, pleaded guilty to first degree robbery.
Police said Martin and James Rogers, of Charleston, threatened a 78 year old woman in the parking lot of the Elder Beerman and stole her purse. It happened in March.
The two men then used the woman’s credit card at a Speedway gas station, police said.
Martin will be sentenced in January.
