Man pleads guilty in Patrick Street robbery case

CHARLESTON, W.Va — A man originally charged with second-degree robbery and conspiracy pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Monday.

Clarington Aliston Brown, 56, of Charleston, entered Mimi’s Parlor, a video lottery business on Patrick Street last year and tried to rob it. He pleaded guilty Monday as part of an information plea charging him with attempt to commit grand larceny.

Kanawha County Circuit Judge Jim Stucky accepted the plea Monday and scheduled sentencing for May 13.
