Man killed in North Charleston blaze

CHARLESTON, W.Va. –Firefighters said a man was killed in a house fire Thursday afternoon in Charleston.

The blaze was reported at a few minutes after 1 p.m. at a residence located on 4th Avenue in North Charleston.

Charleston firefighters battled the blaze. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

The victim’s name was not initially released. It marks the second fatal fire in Charleston this week. A woman died in a fire at an apartment complex on Charleston’s East End Monday night.
