Man in custody, 3 injured in police pursuit

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. — One person was arrested Tuesday evening following a pursuit near St. Albans that resulted in three people going to the hospital.

St. Albans Police officers tried to pull over a driver for a stolen license plate around 4:45 p.m. The driver of the vehicle drove away on U.S. Route 60, going through multiple neighborhoods before crashing into a second car with two people inside.

The suspect’s vehicle went through a fence and into a yard before hitting a tree. The driver then tried to climb out a window but was captured by police.

Police said the injuries are not life-threatening.
