The warrant for 19-year-old Khalib Grass followed a report of a possible child abuse incident involving his month-old daughter. Authorities said they were asked last Wednesday by the Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial General Hospital to investigate the infant’s injuries, which included a punctured lung and broken ribs.

The mother of the baby, 21-year-old Katelyn Berger, was previously arrested and charged with child abuse causing injury and with child neglect causing injury.
