CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Charleston police arrested Monday a man suspected to be involved in a weekend home invasion on the city’s West Side.
Authorities said Russell Slater, of Charleston, entered a home at 712 Park Avenue on Sunday using a crowbar, then struck the resident multiple times with the crowbar.
Slater has been charged with burglary, first-degree robbery and attempted murder.
The victim was listed in stable condition on Monday.
