Man arrested after killing pedestrian with a vehicle

BESOCO, W.Va. — Raleigh County Police arrested a man Monday for murder after he allegedly struck and killed a man with a vehicle.

Police say they were dispatched to Coal City Road in Besoco Saturday after a report of a man hit by a vehicle. An investigation showed 28-year-old Princewick native Willis Wilson got into a vehicle and intentionally accelerated, killing Tommy Lambert. The two men apparently had been fighting.

Wilson is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail without bail.
