Man accused of stabbing mother and her boyfriend in custody

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. — A man accused of stabbing his mother and her boyfriend is in police custody after he was arrested Wednesday.

Vincent Gregory Baisi, 24, of Belington, allegedly stabbed Deborah Burke and John Samples at their South Charleston home on Tuesday. Baisi also stole Samples’ vehicle.

Burke told police she was asleep and woke up to find Baisi standing over her accusing her of trying to kill him by giving him cancer. Samples arrived at the residence and was attacked by Baisi before he was stabbed.

Baisi was wanted on warrants for malicious wounding and grand larceny. He is being held on $15,000 cash only bond.
