Lockdown lifted at Thomas after ER incident

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police gave the all-clear at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston at 3:15 Wednesday afternoon lifting a lockdown that lasted nearly two hours.

The lockdown was issued following a security issue in the hospital’s emergency room.

The lockdown had to do with a threat made to a patient. The move was made as a precaution, according to a hospital spokesperson Paige Johnson.

No injuries were reported.
