Kmart leaving West Virginia with planned closure of Kanawha City location

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Kmart in Kanawha City will be closing its doors for good.

The closure of the store on MacCorkle Avenue marks an end to Kmart in Kanawha Valley and West Virginia; the Patrick Street Plaza location closed earlier this year and the Kmart in Elkview will close at the end of the year.

A liquidation sale is set to begin in the next few weeks.
