QUINCY, W.Va. — Riverside High School has a new principal.
The Kanawha County Board of Education approved Jane Kennedy for the position at its meeting Monday afternoon. Kennedy officially took over Tuesday.
She’s been the interim principal at the school in Quincy since former principal Valery Harper was chosen as the executive director of the system’s new virtual classroom program last month.
Kennedy has spent the last several years of her career at Riverside. She began as a teacher, served later as assistant principal and then most recently as curriculum assistant principal.
