Kanawha School Board extends Superintendent Duerring’s contract

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Kanawha County School Board renewed Superintendent Ron Duerring’s contract for another school year Tuesday, without a pay raise.

Duerring currently makes over $160,000 after he was given over a $3,000 raise at the start of the current school year.

He’ll begin his 19th school year with Kanawha County Schools on July 1.

The board made the decision after an hour-long closed session meeting Tuesday afternoon.
