INSTITUTE, W.Va. — Kanawha Sheriff’s deputies were searching for a suspect after a man was shot near the Shawnee Community Center in Institute Wednesday night.
The man was shot in the foot shortly after 7 p.m. deputies said, but information on the victim’s condition was not immediately available.
Deputies were looking for a vehicle the suspect may have been driving, a maroon SUV with a temp tag, dark tinted windows and a chrome trim. The suspect was allegedly seen leaving the scene of the alleged incident.
