Kanawha County murder trial rescheduled

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County circuit judge has reset a trial date for a man accused of murdering his sister and injuring his nephew.

Glen Skidmore, 40, was scheduled to go on Monday but Circuit Judge Jim Stucky granted a motion during a hearing to postpone the trial’s beginning to Aug. 17.

Skidmore was arrested last December during a traffic stop in Logan County. It was the morning after he allegedly shot and killed his sister Michelle Lee Skidmore, 35, of Mink Shoals and shot and injured her son Jonathan Skidmore, 17. The younger Skidmore was shot multiple times, but managed to make it to a neighbor’s house for help.

Glen Skidmore remains in jail without bail.
