Judge upholds motion to sever trial of woman in connection with CVS robberies

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County judge agreed to a motion Wednesday to sever the trial of a woman allegedly involved in a string of robberies at CVS from that of others involved.

Kristy Albright, 38, of Logan County, was indicted in April on second-degree robbery and conspiracy charges.

Albright allegedly drove the getaway car when her boyfriend, Charles “Eddie” Jacobs, robbed the stores for prescription pills.

Jacobs has been charged with four counts of second-degree robbery.He robbed CVS stores on Oakwood Road twice, on Charleston’s East End, in Dunbar and in Teays Valley, police say.
