Gas prices rise 6 cents in Charleston; average about $2 per gallon

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Average gas prices in Charleston have risen just under 6 cents per gallon the past week, on Sunday averaging $2 per gallon.

The number is comparable with the national average increase over the past week of 5.6 cents per gallon.

Gas prices Sunday in Charleston were about 42 cents lower than the same day one year ago, but about 27 cents higher than a month ago.
