Fat Patty’s being sold

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A popular restaurant in Huntington has been sold to a larger organization.

Fat Patty’s with locations in Huntington, Barboursville, Teays Valley and Ashland, Kentucky will be sold to ARC Group Incorporated of Jacksonville, Florida.

The reported price for the sale is $12.3 million.

Fat Patty’s specializes in large, gourmet burgers. In addition to the specialty burgers, the restaurant is also known for sandwiches, wings, appetizers, salads, wraps and steak and chicken dinners in a casual-dining environment. Each restaurant has a full bar and several large, flat-screen televisions.

Fat Patty’s was founded in Huntington near the campus of Marshall University in 2007.  The new owners believe they can grow business at the current locations and expect it is a brand they’ll be able to transform into multiple franchises in other states.

Reports surrounding the deal indicate Fat Patty’s, had 2017 annual revenue of more than $11 million and $700,000 in net income.
