CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A judge moved the trial of a South Charleston man to next February during a court hearing Monday in Kanawha County Circuit Court.
Kevin Statts, 54, of South Charleston, was scheduled to go on trial this week in connection with the March crash on Frame Road that killed James Kidd, 46, of Elkview. Statts is charged with DUI with death.
Kanawha County Circuit Judge Charlie King moved the trial to Feb. 26 Monday after agreeing to allow Statts to hire his accident reconstructionist.
