RIPLEY, W.Va. — A driver died in a single vehicle accident Friday morning in Jackson County. State police said the accident happened at just after 7 o’clock on state Route 33.
The victim lost control of the car traveling east between Shatto Road and Gay Road near Ripley. The vehicle slammed into a roadside embankment. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police troopers are investigating.
