Division of Highways awards Camp Creek Bridge replacement project

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Highways announced Wednesday it has awarded the Camp Creek Bridge replacement project to Kokosing Construction, Inc.

The company submitted the lowest bid for the project, valuing more than $3.6 million.

The division closed the bridge last September because of worsening conditions. The 91-year-old structure was also damaged in last June’s flood.

The bridge will remain open for pedestrians, with inspections being performed every three months to assure it is safe for foot travel.

The listed completion date for the project is Nov. 9.
