Clendenin woman facing armed robbery charges of video lottery parlor

CLENDENIN, W.Va. — A Clendenin woman who allegedly robbed a video lottery parlor at gun point last weekend was arrested Thursday.

Kayla Marie Woods, 31, allegedly pointed a gun at the clerk at Hot Spot, and robbed the the parlor of $2,000.

According to criminal complaint, Woods was shown on surveillance footage robbing the parlor. A clerk allegedly told police she recognized Woods as a regular customer.

Woods was in the parlor playing lottery machines earlier in the night, the complaint said.

Woods was charged with armed robbery and booked into South Central Regional Jail early Friday morning.
