Charleston woman accused of elder abuse undergoes psych evaluation

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Charleston woman who allegedly abused her elderly mother underwent a psych evaluation in a Kanawha County courtroom Thursday.

Peggy Quesenberry, 41, is accused of abusing her mother after authorities found the 75-year-old woman covered in feces and urine, with severe sores on her right side and her arm stuck to her head. Judy Ann Quesenberry died weeks later.

A trial date for Peggy Quesenberry has not been set as she has not been indicted. According to prosecutors, they are waiting on findings from the medical examiner’s office. Quesenberry is waiting to be released on home confinement, although officials have to check the residence to see if conditions have improved.
