Charleston VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic to change location

CHARLESTON — The Charleston VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic announced a planned change of location Tuesday.

The clinic will move from Alex Lane to 700 Technology Drive off of Corridor G. The 14,500 square foot facility will be early three times the size of the current clinic.

Patients will continue to be seen at the Alex Lane location through June 15 when it closes. The new CBOC on Technology Drive will begin seeing patients on June 23 and be open for care Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Outpatient services will include expanded primary care, mental health, x-ray, telehealth including teleretinal services, laboratory and a dedicated women’s clinic.

A ribbon cutting Ceremony and open house for the new facility is scheduled for July 1 at 10 a.m.

Charleston-area Veterans who wish to enroll for VA care are encouraged to bring their DD214 discharge papers to the clinic to determine their eligibility.
