Charleston traffic changes for busy FestivALL weekend

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — With thousands of people in the Capital City for FestivALL this weekend, there will be a few road closures and traffic changes.

Capitol Street will be closed from Virginia to Washington Streets Friday evening until Sunday after the Art Fair is over. Streets crossing Capital Street will remain open but drivers are urged to use caution because of the many pedestrians.

Kanawha Boulevard will close Friday evening between Capital and Court Streets for Live on the Levee as is usual for the music festival.

As for parking, the city code requires parking meters to be enforced on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Residential parking is enforceable at all times.
