Charleston Main Street hosts Murder Mystery CLUE game at Appalachian Power Park

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Who did it? Where? And with what weapon?

Those were some of the questions asked Wednesday night during the Main Street Murder Mystery CLUE game at Appalachian Power Park.

Several characters were on hand as well as a full audience that tried to solve the murder mystery.

Elizabeth Smith was one of the characters.

Charleston Deputy Mayor Rod Blackstone, also known as “The Toast Man”, hosted the event based on the popular board game.

One of the characters Elizabeth Smith told 580-WCHS she was playing the wife of “the Sheriff.”

“We’re going to be two-stepping. It’s going to be a wonderful celebration because my husband, the Sheriff, is coming back into town,” she said before the game started.

Music, food and drinks were provided during the event.

Smith said players had to guess who they thought committed the crime.

“You have to guess who done it. Evidently, something’s going to happen. Somebody’s going to get shot, I guess? I don’t know. I just hope it’s not me!” Smith said.

The event was part of HallowEAST in Charleston which runs through Saturday.

“Halloween is a great time to see costumes both naughty and nice. I think people really get to be their inner selves on this holiday,” she said.
