Charleston girl missing, last seen in Wyoming

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A teenage girl with ties to Kanawha County left her foster family in Wyoming in recent days, authorities said.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department and other agencies are looking for Lachaela ”Shay” Putnick, 14, of Charleston.

She has been in the custody of Child Protective Services and was recently temporarily placed by the state with a foster family in Wyoming. She left that family on Aug. 7 when it was visiting Yellowstone National Park and now authorities are trying to find her.

She has brown hair, brown eyes, is 5’4″ tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds.
