Car crash in Charleston leaves multiple injured, closes roadway

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Multiple people were reported with injuries as a result from a crash in Charleston Wednesday afternoon.

Charleston police and fire crews both responded to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue South and Virginia Street West just after 3 p.m.

Emergency crews said the crash closed down the roads temporarily.

Firefighters said two people were entrapped and four people were injured in the wreck. The conditions of those injured are unknown at this time.
