BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. — A man faces malicious wounding charges after shooting a man in the forehead during an altercation in Boone County.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies said Ricky Allen Nelson, 29, and another man were fighting over a woman on Monday on Low Gap Road.
Nelson allegedly pulled out the gun and shot the person. The victim’s name has not been released, but authorities said he is in stable condition.
Nelson fled the scene and was found on the back of a motorcycle two hours after the incident. The motorcycle driver, Brandon Nelson, was pulled over for a revoked license, and charged with accessory for helping his cousin.
