Police identify body found near Marmet park

MARMET, W.Va. — A man’s body was found in a riverbank near a Kanawha County Park Thursday evening.

Police identified the man as Dana Willis Clark, 40, of Chesapeake. He was found laying face up on the riverbank near Bill Wells Community Park on Carolina Avenue in Marmet at around 6 p.m.

West Virginia State Police (WVSP), with assistance from Marmet Police, are investigating. They do not suspect any foul play at this time.

WVSP said Clark’s body will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s office for a toxicology examination.
