CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Kanawha County Board of Education meets in special session Monday at 4 p.m.
New board member Rick Cavender will take the oath of office along with incumbent Jim Crawford.
The board will also elect a new president after former president Robin Rector decided not to run for another term.
It will be the first board meeting since the devastating June 23 flood that damaged several schools including Herbert Hoover High School and Clendenin Elementary School.
