CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The bid opening for the Shawnee Park Multi-Sports Complex will be held Wednesday at the Kanawha County Courthouse. The bids are scheduled to be opened around 1 p.m. by the project’s architect, ZMM Architects and Engineering.
The county commission has already approved redeveloping the Dunbar park into a facility capable of hosting local and regional youth sports tournaments.
The commission will meet Thursday to discuss the bids and award the project to the lowest qualified bidder. It will also announce the winner of the logo contest, in which more than 120 local students submitted designs.
