Battle sentenced for December 2017 shooting

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Charleston man will spend up to a decade in prison for a shooting in December 2017.

Harold Battle was found guilty on charges related to shooting Brandon Hearns inside the Vista View apartments at Renaissance Circle.

Authorities said an argument with the men and others happened before the incident.

Battle shot Hearns in the leg. He will spend between two and 10 years behind bars.
